From small beginnings in 1971 over 30 years, when Paul Kynaston (managing director) set up the then known Kynaston Coachworks in a single bay garage down on the Quay in Exeter, to a site in King Edward Street for 21 years, to November 1998 and the big move to Marsh Barton where the company took on its current name of KAS and became Ltd, we are now proud to offer you the services of one of Exeter's largest independent body shops with VW/Audi Group approval.

In 2008 we added the prestigious Audi Approved Aluminium Body Repair Facility which offers state of the art technology. Our technicians are fully trained on Aluminium repair techniques, and are able to repair all makes of Aluminium structural repairs, also we at Kynastons are one of only 4 Audi R8 specialist repairers in the country.

In April 2009, we expanded into the Taunton and surrounding areas by acquiring the ex Binden Autobodies site and rebadging it as Kynaston Autobodies Taunton who are also VW/Audi group approved and aluminium approved and they have an excellent team led by the Manager Phil Keane.

At our Exeter repair centre, the admin and productive team is led by Barry, the Group's General Manager, and they will look after you with a friendly and professional service along with the latest technology.

In November 2009 we added the 3rd jewel in the Kynaston crown by opening up a dedicated Service and Mot centre with highly trained technicians able to work on all makes of vehicles at Independent labour rates and offering the public and fleet users the service they require, and the team is led by Manager Neil Wakeham.

We as an independent group can now offer a broad range of services to all our customers for most of the Southwest area, and our Exeter and Taunton bodyshops have the BSI Kitemark accreditation, with the Exeter Service Centre expected to complete theirs by the end of 2011.

Paul the Managing Director keeps a hands on approach to all the sites along with his Group General Manager Barry, and they emphasise that customers needs are always put first and foremost at all times
